About SEA-Mate® Filter Filtration Technology
The SEA-Mate® Filter offers multiple advantages, particularly when integrated with the BOB unit. These benefits extend beyond simple filtration. While the initial filter costs may seem high due to shorter change intervals, these intervals will extend as the LO improves (see point 1), resulting in fewer overhauls and a lower need for expensive overhaul kits, which reduce maintenance costs, (see point 2) and improve environmental performance.

Enhanced Lubricating Oil Quality
Cleaner Crankshaft Housing and Circulating LO
When using the BOB unit, the replenishment of used ME LO with new oil leads to a cleaner crankshaft housing and improved LO in circulation. By optimizing your system oil and cylinder lubrication oil, this significantly reduce the wear on engine components and enhances overall performance.
Cleaner Engine Components
Regular use of recycled ME LO through the BOB unit and Offline filters results in visibly cleaner surfaces within the crankshaft housing. This reduces friction inside the crankcase and gives proven fuel saving onboard.
Reduction in Contaminants
The Offline SEA-Mate® Filters effectively capture contaminants such as 4, 6, and 14-micron particles. Over time, the LO becomes progressively cleaner as these particles are trapped by the filters.
